My daughter's high school graduation present was taking a trip somewhere special. We were going to take a family vacation, but my husband had to work at the last minute, and we were really disappointed. So we decided to venture with out him this time. It was just me and the girls and I am so glad we went! Of course we missed Dad, but I loved having this time with my daughters. The first part of the trip was spent with family and friends in Arizona, and from there we flew to San Diego for 3 days of fun and sun.
We love San Diego. You could spend 2 weeks there, for sure. I hope to go back. Actually, I hope to move there. Haha. After living in Minnesota for so long, can you blame me? San Diego is THE perfect climate in my mind.
The last day was spent in La Jolla.
First we went to church. I loved that one of the speakers at church was a surfer!
Then we went to the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center in Old Town San Diego. That area was very Spanish and Fiesta Fun.
The next stop was the beautiful San Diego Temple, where we believe that families can be sealed together to remain as families eternally.
Then on to La Jolla Beach. They had so much fun playing on the shore climbing on rocks with waves and getting super close to the sea lions. They took photos, selfies, and were carefree sisters having a ton of fun. It was a wonderful day!
La Jolla beach has such a fun vibe to it. There is this cove with sea lions all over the place. We saw life guards rescuing people too. The actual shore line reminds us of Lake Superior with the rocks and cliffs, only this water is much warmer and has bigger waves.
It was a great way to finish our trip.
I can't wait to do this again when my youngest graduates. I wonder where she will choose to go????
It was great to catch up on all your spring break adventures. Beautiful pictures! I feel like I was there vicariously.
