Fun and Festive in December

Ugly Sweater Day- one of my favorite new traditions over the past couple of years.  Simply because back in my day this was called, well, Beautiful Sweater Day when we wore these for real. Yikes!
I put out some decorations when I realized my friend Mia from church had been responsible for almost all of them through Relief Society Activities or selling at craft fairs.
We put the tree up early in December, but I decided to wait to do the ornaments until J got home.  She really wanted to be a part of that, and that is one of the most special parts of Christmas, so we waited for her to get home on the 19th.  I am so glad we waited!
Meek-ah joined in on the fun, too. ("Define fun," she says).

And so did Daisy, in more ways than one thanks to the girls.
She was a photo prop ("Are we dont yet?  I need my nap," she says.)

"Okay, I'll stay put as long you join me."
She also doubled as an Eewok from Star Wars.  You find an old teddy bear and cut out the stuffing.  So funny- at least we thought so.  Her- I'm not so sure.
And of course we had to bundle Daisy to go outside sometimes.  She gets so darn cold when we get the real blasts of cold air from the arctic!
